Located in a very secluded area, on the edge of the forest, amidst an alpine meadow, at the Postalm, sourrounded by the nature of the Salzkammergut. In winter the cottage is reachable by car via a toll road (except the last 200m). As of 2024: winter from Strobl € 10,-/person € 5,-/kid or from Abtenau € 17,-/car. summer from Strobl € 17,-/car and from Abtenau EUR 13,-/car. If you buy a lift card the toll gets refunded. In summer you can drive the last 200m via a forest road.

Next town Abtenau in 15km or Strobl am Wolfgangsee also in 15km. Skiing area Postalm with skiing school, funpark, ski rental, high altitude cross-country course (until a lenght of 15km!), 8 ski lifts and 20km prepared slopes in 2km. Abandon your car: free ski bus on-site! The Postalm is very popular with families, cross-country skiers and ski tourers. In summer there are hiking trails, a fixed rope route at the Postalmklamm, mountain bike trails, swimming possibilities under a waterfall or also trips to one of the numerous farmed huts or into the nerby Salzkammergut. In summer you can get fresh products from the farm in only 1,5km.

Ground floor: snuggery with seating corner, sofa and kitchenette with wood stove, oven, coffee machine, fridge, sink. There is also a separate room with a big table, perfect for playing board games. Cool larder. 1 double room, shower/toilet. Upper floor: 1 double room, 1 four-bed room with double bed and bunk bett, 1 four-bed room with 2 double beds (200x140cm) and bunk bed (additional beds). Wood-fired central heating. WIFI available. In front of the cottage is a meadow, there are seats, a barbecue and a wonderful view onto the alpine meadow.

Electricity € 0,40/kWh, local tourism tax currently € 2,-/person/night, mobility tax as of the 1st of May 2025 € 0,50/person older than 15/night, gas for water € 0,50/person/day, wood € 35,-/week. Pet € 25,-/stay, bed linen can be rented for € 7,-/set and towels for € 3,-/set.
