Centrally located in the skiing and hiking area Dachstein-West, on a high plateau, nearby the ski lifts. In summer enjoy the natural quietness at a BBQ while your adventorous youngsters set up their own tent. In winter accessible by ski lift, the owner helps you with your lugguage. In summer can be reached by car (one car only) via a 4 km long unpaved forest road. 4 day rides in cabin rental, every other ascent/descent € 26,-. The location near a highmoor makes the air fresh and enriches it with a lot of oxigene, so the cabin is ideal for asthmatics!
DistancesDirect access to skiing area on skis. Next guest house just 200m away (in winter), middle station in 100m distance in front of the hut. Ski school and cross-country skiing trail in 700m. Shopping facility at town Gosau, 5km. The position of the cottage is perfect for hikers and mountain bikers! The Dachstein-mountain, the clear water of the mountain lakes and the numerous huts are a highlight of this region. There is also a lake 400m above the cottage.
EquippmentGround floor: Living room with seating corner, sofa, satellite TV, electric cooker, wood stove, oven, fridge, coffee machine. 1 double room, sauna, exit out-of-doors. Upper floor: four-bed room (double bed and extendable sofa) with balcony, small double room, shower, toilet. Heating with wood stove and electrically. In front of the cottage is a garden with seats, a barbecue, a well and a wonderful view onto the high plateau. Firewood and charcoal briquets are included in the price. We ask you to do not smoke inside the cottage!
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,30/kWh and sewer € 4,37/m³ on consumption, local tourism tax currently € 2,-/person/night, bed linen and towels € 10,-/person, final cleaning € 55,-. Deposit € 250,-.

The Gosauer part of the skiing area Dachstein West comprises the Hornspitz including the Brumsiland and the Zwieselalm. From here you can enjoy the spectacular 360°-view onto the Dachstein-Gletscher, the Gosausee (lake) and the most beautiful peaks from the Feuerkogel to the Hochkönig. Gosau is not only a nice area for snowboarders and skiers, but also for hikers, snow shoe hikers and persons who love to relax - for example on a deck chair.
The skiing area Dachstein-West offers 70 ski lifts and 160km well prepared slopes. There are snow-covering machines at the main slopes! The more there are 193km cross-country ski runs and 200km cleared walks. There is a cost-free bus service (skiing area / indoor swimming pool) between the towns Golling, Scheffau, Abtenau, Russbach, Annaberg, Lungötz and St. Martin - as well as within the towns. And of course après-ski!

In Gosau there is little artificiality, you acknowledge your roots, you are authentic and mostly wonderfully calm.
In summer, the surrounding mountains, especially the Gosau lakes and the Gosaukamm, invite you to go on wonderful hikes.
During an active holiday in the UNESCO World Heritage region of Hallstatt Dachstein Salzkammergut, you can expect a wide range of sports and leisure activities.
Do somersaults on alpine meadows, build dams on small streams and enjoy a delicious Kaiserschmarren. Whether fairy tales and legends or on a slow train through Gosau - that is family vacation in the Salzkammergut.

Idyllisch huisje voor de liefhebber van rust, stilte en natuur. Inrichting authentiek en enigszins primitief, zoals dat bij een almhut te verwachten is. Prachtige wandelingen mogelijk direct vanuit de hut.
Absolute Ruhe-tolles Haus!Nur der Blick auf die Mittelstation stört ein bischen,ist aber im Winter sicherlich ein Vorteil!
