The cottage is located in a very calm and secluded area with a wonderful view onto the town St. Michael im Lungau. Access road until about 700m below the hut, then continue driving on a country road (access with an all-terrain vehicle, depending on the wheater conditions, possible for trained drivers). The owner will help you with your luggage. Behind the cottage is a gorge.
DistancesThe town St. Michael with shops, taverns, swimming bath and tennis only 1km from here. St. Michael is the perfect starting point for hikes or bicycle tours at the "Lungau-area", to mountain lakes, secondary valleys and farmed alps. Golf course in 3km.
EquippmentThe cottage is equipped very lovingly and cosy. Ground floor: living room with seating corner, sofa, chimney. Kitchen with wood stove, oven, fridge, coffee machine, sink, larder. Toilet, bathroom with shower. Upper floor: 1 double room with balcony and view onto the canyon, 1 double room with sofa (additonal bed) if needed, 1 four-bed room with bunk beds. On the upper floor is an exit to the outside area with seats and a barbecue. Alpine wellness: wooden bathtub with a wood-burning oven, where you also heat up your water. The former hay store is now a hobby room with table tennis table, table football and a dartboard – perfect for rainy days! Photovoltaic system for light and electricity for small devices (mobile phone, laptop). Electrical power via an aggregate if needed. Next tot he cottage are pieces of an old ruin.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Local tourism tax currently € 1,10/person/night, final cleaning € 70,-, wood € 25,-/week, pet € 25,-. Bed linen can be rented for € 7,-/set and for towels 3,-/set. Additional person € 10,-/night. On request: on site you can get a basket filled with fresh products such as bread, bacon, butter, jam, eggs, milk,.....

Skiing in St. Michael is a real experience. The 4 skiing regions Aineck, Katschberg, Fanningberg and Grosseck-Speiereck offer more than 220km slopes and 50 ski lifts!
Wonderful deep snow hillsides and best prepared slopes at all levels of difficulty offer fun for novices in skiing as well as for advanced skiers. The 6-seater "Samson-chairlift" on the mountain Fanningberg which is the longest chairlift in the world, the cable car for 8 persons with a 4km long slope to the valley at the skiing region Grosseck-Speiereck and a fun park for snowboarders on the Aineck mountain are the main attractions of this top skiing region.

Wir waren mit unseren zwei Kindern (5 & 8 Jahre) auf der Hütte und hatten wundervolle Tage dort oben. Es ist sehr ruhig. Das nächste Gebäude ist etwa 5 Minuten zu Fuß weiter unten. Wir konnten mit den Kindern große Greifvögel, Schmetterlinge und Grasshüpfer entdecken. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten vor der Hütte zu sitzen, um zu essen, zu spielen oder um einfach nur die Sonne zu genießen. Die Ausstattung ist prima, auch wenn es weder einen Elektroherd noch einen Elektroboiler gibt. Man muss selbst den Herd und den Boiler mit Holz anfeuern. Es ist alles dafür vorhanden und vorbereitet. Ist das Feuer mal an, macht es kaum noch Arbeit und die Wärme ist ganz angenehm. Die Vermieter waren äußerst hilfsbereit und sehr nett. Wir erinnern uns alle sehr gern an die schöne Zeit und kommen bestimmt wieder.
Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und unsere Zeit auf der Hütte genossen. Man liegt herrlich abgelegen, bei Bedarf ist man aber schnell im Ort. Wir können diese Hütte wirklich empfehlen.
Wir waren mit zwei Kindern und Hund im Ferienhaus. Hat uns sehr gefallen. Almhütte wie man sie sich vorstellt. Vermieter sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Waren bestimmt nicht das Letzte mal dort.
Es waren wundervolle Tage in dieser liebevoll ausgestatteten Hütte! Den ganzen Tag gibt es ein Fleckerl in der Sonne.Alles hat bestens funktioniert. Wir wollen wiederkommen.

Vielen Dank für die tolle, unvergessliche Zeit in der Hütte. Es war alles genauso, wie wir uns das vorgestellt haben. Sogar noch besser.

Die Einrichtung, das Ambiente, die Umgebung...es war perfekt.

Alles was precies zoals het op de foto's stond. Idyllische plek, ongelovelijk mooi uitzicht alle kanten op. En de rust en de beekgeluiden maken het helemaal af. TOP! Alles te vinden in de buurt, genoeg te doen en te bezichtigen. Prachtige wandelroutes. Helemaal geweldig gehad in dot huis.
Einfach nur schön zum aussteigen kommen 2015 auf jeden Fall wieder !!!! Passt alles Preis,Sauberkeit und Betreuung sind einfach super !! Sehr geeignet für Famile mit Hund wir waren selber mit 2 Hunden da traumhaft.
