In 2020 the cozy resort „Almresort Sommerschnee“ with five cottages made of solid wood was built directly in the family-friendly skiing and hiking area Galsterberg. The cottages are located on a high plateau at the top station of the gondola, directly at the piste and sledding run, opposite of the children’s area and the ski school. Winter: The huts are easily accessible via the gondola (also with toddlers, sledges or pushchairs), your car remains at the car park at the bottom station. Summer: You can drive directly to the cottage on the 5 km long mountain road, which is used for the sledding run during wintertime.
DistancesThe cabins are centrally located in the family friendly-skiing and hiking area Galsterberg overlooking the village of Pruggern (Pruggern in 10 km) in the Enns Valley. The skiing area Galsterberg is part of Ski Amadé, access to the skiing paradise Schladming-Dachstein from the bottom station Pruggern in 9 km. Tavern with sun terrace (during winter season) 50 m, children’s area with playground 50 m, ski school meeting point opposite the cottages. The 5 km long sledding run starts directly in front of the cottages. The gondola runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. in the wintertime, and from the end of December until March from 7:00 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Hiking trails starting at the cottage. The gondola doesn’t run during summertime, you can reach the cottages by car. Cabin offering refreshments and food 1 km. Horse stable, tennis court in the village. Swimming lake 15 km, golf court 20 km.
EquippmentThe five cottages are built in a modern style. Ground floor: Two double rooms with shower/toilet, one twin room with bunk bed, as well as the pine sauna. Upper floor: One double room with shower/toilet. You can enjoy the view of the landscape through the large panoramic windows in the spacious attic. There’s a snuggery with seating corner near the wood stove, a kitchenette with a bar, equipped with electric cooker, oven, fridge with small freezing compartment, microwave, dishwasher, coffee machine. The living room leads to a roofed terrace where you can sit at a large table. The beds are made from regional pine wood. Ski boot dryer, storage room for skis, Wi-Fi, satellite TV. Central heating, air heat pump. Barbecue. Please do not smoke inside the huts!

The Galsterberg at a glance
5 cable cars and ski lifts, about 50 new parking spaces very close to the valley station of the cable car, 60 snow-covering machines help to improve the snow conditions.
The regions biggest wonderland for children: people skiing through the Gallic wonderland will be surprised - Gauls, Romans and animals move around there. They talk, bark and grunt. Children can experience unforgettable adventures:
- indoor-playing ground at the Romans tower
- huge snow figure
The Glasterberg in Pruggern is a small but nice skiing area with a lot of opportunities. Novices in skiing are happy about the easy and flat slopes, while passionate skiers can enjoy the fore-col-piste on an altitude of 1,200m, which counts to one of the most beautiful slopes in the whole region. The skiing region Galsterbergalm offers 20km bride and well prepared slopes and is part of the skiing region Dachstein-Tauern with 86 cable cars and ski lifts and 152km prepared slopes. It is also a member of ski amadé (just one ski pass for more than 760km slopes and 270 cable cars and ski lifts).
Access to the skiing paradise Schladming-Dachstein from Haus im Ennstal in 9km. Ski school with child care at the valley station. The 5km long lighted natural sledding run (one of the longest in Austria) ends at the valley station.

Regardless of whether you are looking for adventure or tranquility, the Schladming-Dachstein region is there for everyone. With around 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails, 1,000 kilometers of mountain bike routes and 22 climbing routes, the ways to experience our nature are just as varied as the region itself. And the cuisine is also of the highest quality with us: over 50 cultivated alpine pastures are open all summer here for you.

Das schönste Ferienhaus, das wir bisher hatten. Super sauber, traumhafte Aussicht über die Berge und ins Tal, hochwertige Ausstattung. Ruhe und Natur pur. Wir (Familie mit zwei Jugendlichen und Hund) waren zwei Wochen hier und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, was auch an der sehr netten und freundlichen Betreuung lag. Trotz bestehender Hausstaub-Allergie hatten wir keinerlei Beschwerden in diesem Haus, auch in den Betten konnten wir sehr gut schlafen. Küche ist für Selbstverpflegung sehr gut ausgestattet. Direkt ab Hütte sind mehrere Wanderungen möglich (zum Teil auch für kleinere Kinder geeignet). Den Brötchenservice, abzuholen ca. 4km unterhalb im Feriendorf, haben wir nicht genutzt. Nächster Supermarkt ca. 25 Minuten entfernt in Gröbming.
Tolle Almhütte mit mega schönem Ausblick. Sehr sauber. Wir empfehlen sie weiter.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub auf der sehr geschmackvoll und sehr gut ausgestatteten Hütte. Die Lage ist einmalig und der Blick über die Berge einfach toll. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und betreut. Wir kommen sicher wieder :-)
wirklich eine Traumlage, haben den Urlaub sehr genossen, das Panoramafenster mit diesem unglaublich weiten Blick, der kleine Bach in der Nähe ein Paradies zum Spielen für unsere Kinder, das müssen wir im Winter wiederholen, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder
