The cottage is located amidst the skiing area Präbichl and next door to the "Zellerhang" and the "Polster Quattro". Very sunny and quiet with a wonderful view onto the mountains and the mountain lake Grübl. The cottage can be reached up to 50m below the cottage by car.
DistancesPräbichl Ski Arena ski area, Polster Quattro chairlift (closed in summer) next to the hut. Ski school, beginner lift, and floodlit toboggan run nearby. Ski rentals at the valley station. 21 km of cross-country ski trails lead to the Eisenerzer Ramsau, up to 1064 m above sea level, in 10 km. Indoor swimming pool 10 km. In summer, a single-seater chairlift takes you to almost 2000 m in just 11 minutes! From here, numerous marked hiking trails lead into the Hochschwab South region and the Eisenerzer Alps. A paradise for paragliders. Styrian Erzberg is 8 km away. At Grübl Bergsee, about 350 m below, there is a modern forest ropes course! Here, you can fly up to 15 meters high over the crystal-clear water on six ziplines with a total length of several hundred meters. The mountain carts are an absolute adventure. This downhill activity involves whizzing down the valley on tricycles for 3 km using only your gravity. The Grübl mountain lake in Präbichl, with its PADI/CMAS diving school and underwater petting zoo, offers the perfect place to relax after a hike or mountain tour. Shopping is available in the nearby villages of Vordernberg (5km) or Eisenerz (8km). A mountain hut is available at 290 m.
EquippmentThe cabin has a snuggery with lounge, wood stove, sofa (if necessary, extendable for 2 persons), satellite TV, DVD player, hi-fi system with USB/MP3 link. Kitchen with wood stove, oven, electric cooker (ceramic hob), an original "Resch and Frisch Back´s Ofen" (an oven for bread rolls), fridge, coffee machine (Saeco/Lavazza, Caffe Crema). 1 bedroom with double-bunk bed and single bed, 1 shower, 1 toilet. Heating with stove, hot water electrically. In front of the cottage is a sun terrace with a wonderful view! Lawn for sunbathing with a masoned grill. Wide range of wines from the wine-growing estate, local Styrian beer.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,35/kWh, local tourism tax currently € 2,50/person/night, final cleaning € 35,-, deposit € 100,-. Bed linen can be rented for € 7,-/set and towels for € 3,-/set.

The Präbichl, the skiing area for "novices" and "advanced persons", disposes of a wide range of offers. Skiers as well as snowboarders and "carvers" can choose between the ski slope with moguls, the deep snow slope or a slope to practise - everybody will get it´s money worth. The more there is also the legendary "Polsterrinne", a slope for really advanced skiers!
The fully automatic snow covering machine guarantees a skiing area where snow is assured. The ski arena Präbichl is located between 1,100m and 1,900m above sea level and offers 20km slopes in all levels of difficulty. There are also:
- 2 chairlifts for 4 persons
- 1 chairlift for 1 person
- 2 ski tows, 1 baby lift
- 1 "magic carpet" (that´s a kind of conveyor belt)
Summer Infos
The Präbichl is the ideal starting point for sporting activities such as hiking, climbing, paragliding and mountain biking. But also leisurely hike and allow yourself a leisurely pace, enjoy imposing landscapes, absorb the diverse, breathtaking views and the silence of the mountains with every breath.
Far away from mass tourism, our guests can expect a mountain country like in a picture book with lush green meadows, dark, dreamy forests and a unique flora and fauna that has been preserved intact to this day.
The adventure park on the Präbichl is one of the largest and most modern forest ropes courses in Austria. Unique, the “Panorama Parcours” with Burma bridges and the “Lake Promenade Parcours” high above the Grüblsee.

Sehr netter vermieter kompetent sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend super tolle lage top ausstattung
Schöne, sehr gemütliche und gut ausgestattete Hütte mit tollem Holzofen. Wunderbarer Kaffee aus einer Saeco-Kaffeemaschine, Wein- und Bierlager vorhanden (haben wir nicht genutzt). Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und engagiert. Man kann nicht direkt bis zur Hütte zufahren, die letzten Meter muss man über einen steilen, grasbewachsenden Hang zurücklegen. Je nach Windrichtung ist die Bundesstraße schon hörbar. Die Hütte liegt direkt im Schigebiet Präbichl. Wir haben eher die Wandermöglichkeiten in Richtung Gesäuse genutzt, die zahlreich und wunderschön sind. Erzberg liegt um die Ecke. Eine Lokalempfehlung: Unbedingt die Privatbrauerei Erzbergbräu in Eisenerz besuchen!
Normale Hütte, aber bei weitem kein Chalet.
