Location

The cottage is located above the city Kitzbühel, amidst the skiing area Kitzbühler Horn, at the "Trattalmmulde". In winter arrival with the "Kitzbühler Hornbahn" (= cable car) until the mountain station "Alpenhaus", from here you can ski down to the cottage or take the Alpenhaus-chairlift and then walk the last 100m. Therefore the cottage is also reachable for non-skiers.

Distances

The skiing area starts in front of the cottage, slope for children ("baby lift", drag lift, conveyor belt) is below the cottage and easily reachable on foot. Next farmed hut "Alpenhaus" (mountain station, chairlift). The citiy Kitzbühel in 7km (in winter just reachable via cable car and at the operating time).

Equippment

Ground floor: snuggery with seating corner and kitchenette with electric cooker (2 plates), fridge/freezer compartment, wood stove, coffee machine (Cafissimo) and exit to the covered terrace overlooking the ski run, cosy tiled stove with sofa (additional bed), seating corner and satellite TV. Upper floor: under the mansarde are 2 double rooms, 1 small room with 2 mattresses, 1 shower/toilet. Heating with wood stove and tiled stove or electrically (bedrooms), warm water boiler. Please bring your own towels and bed linen.

Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:

Lump sum for electricity € 110,-/week, local tourism tax currently € 1,80/person, final cleaning € 120,-. Additional person € 15,-/night.

About 170 kilometres perfect prepared slopes and 32 kilometres marked ski routes at all levels of difficulty. Snowboard-fun parks, natural toboggan runs and hundreds of kilometres for cross-country skiing are the reason why the skiing area Kitzbühel, that by the way, extends over 7 boroughs and 2 federal states, is famous as a real winter sports paradise in the Alps.
With all in all 53 modern cable cars and ski lifts the "Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel" is the biggest cable car company in Austria. Every day it transports a lot of winter sport fans to the snow-covered hillsides, slopes, ski huts and stations where you can enjoy a short break.

Die Hütte liegt traumhaft direkt an der Piste. Ausstattung ist sehr hochwertig.
Kochutensilien wie Pfannenwender, Kochlöffel und Salatbesteck fehlten leider gänzlich.

Die Auf- und Abfahrt mit Gepäck muss selbst im Voraus mit den Bergbahnen geklärt werden. Am einfachsten ist es, im Voraus zu klären, dann werden Transportwägen bereit gestellt und es soll schneller gehen (kostenpflichtig).
Aller Müll muss mit ins Tal genommen werden.
Wie geschrieben, echt tolle Hütte in super Lage wenn das Transportproblem nicht wäre.

wir hatten wirklich eine super woche auf dieser hütte! noch dazu hat das wetter perfekt mitgespielt.
die kinder konnten vor der hütte in ruhe spielen während der opa im liegestuhl in der sonne geschlafen hat :-)
auch die anreise war problemloser als gedacht (man kommt nur mit dem lift hin).

die bewirtschaftete hütte oberhalb kann ich besonders für berner würstel oder kaiserschmarrn empfehlen - ich glaube aber, dass dort alles lecker ist :-)

tipp:
unbedingt rutsch-teller für die kids mitnehmen. die kinder können in der senke bis zur hütte rutschen und dann wieder hinauf laufen - dadurch war der abend auch schön ruhig ;-)
