The chalet is located in the northeastern part of the Mühlviertel, about 6km away from Liebenau, completely quiet, sunny, secluded. Liebenau is the highest town in Upper Austria and the nature reserve Tannermoor the largest forest bog Austria!
DistancesLiebenau with shops, guest house, tennis 6km. In winter the cottage is just 10 minutes by car from all together 3 family skiing regions. The ski lifts Liebenau as well as the Aichelberg ski lifts Karlstift and Viehberg have well prepaired slopes, an area for children and a ski school. The ski lift Liebenau also offers a fun park and floodlight skiing. The plateau is ideal for cross country skiing and skating, in the region there are over 280km (some floodlit) parallel tracks with nice huts to make a rest! In the summer, ideal for walking and bicycle tours! E-bike rental on site. Skischool with ski lift in 10km. Romantic natural bathing pond Rubenersee 10km. Network of riding trails! Farm of the landlord with about 50 Galloway cattles, three pigs, four horses, chickens, cats and three dogs in 2km.
EquippmentGround floor: snuggery with lounge, sofa, tiled stove, a small house bar, CD player, radio, kitchenette with wood stove, oven, fridge, freezer, electric cooker, coffee machine, exit to the garden. Cool cellar. Bathroom with bath tub and shower. 1 toilet. Sauna. Upper floor: 1 small four-bed room (2 bunk beds), 2 double rooms, 2nd living room with a cozy corner sofa (for 2 persons expendable) with satellite TV. Heating with tiled stove or electrically. In front of the hut is a garden with seats and a barbecue. Beside the house 4 horses, sometimes with foals as well as sheeps are grazing. About 20m below the hut is a fish pond with trouts. This is a non smoking house!
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,40/kWh, firewood € 60,-/m³, local tourism tax currently € 2,40/person/night, final cleaning € 80,-, pet € 35, -. Bed linen can be rented for € 8,- and towels for € 3,-. Deposit € 300,-.

It is not without good reason that the area is often called the "roof of the Mühlviertler Alm".
Liebenau is the highest community in Upper Austria, has the highest pass road in the country and, with the Tannermoor nature reserve, the largest forest high moor in Austria - all of this is reason enough for a wonderful stay in the region.
The highest elevation is the Brockenberg at 1,058 m (lookout point), the lowest altitude is measured at 819 m in the village of Monegg at the "Steinmühle" on the Weissen Aist.

Hütte in mitten der Natur. Angrenzend Weidefläche. Bei unserem Aufenthalt waren die neugierigen und zahmen Schafe unserer Aufmerksamkeit gewiss. Negativ in Angrenzender Nähe führt die Landstraße vorbei mit Tag und Nacht sporadisch Verkehr sowie am Wochenende Biker. Hans-Peter kümmert sich gut und freundlich um seine Gäste. Danke dafür. Haus etwas in die Jahre gekommen, ohne viel Komfort sowie kein Internet und sehr schlechter Handyempfang. Heizung Stube nur mit Kachelofen. Viele Zecken in der Wiese im Garten gehabt. Haus sehr gross und viel Platz. Dusche und kleine Badewanne vorhanden. Sauberkeit gut aber in manchem Schrank wohnte die eine oder andere Spinne. Die übrigens immer einen Weg in die Hütte gefunden haben.
Fazit, grosse Hütte für kleine Ansprüche.
Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Wir haben die Ruhe sehr genießen können. Vielen Dank an Hans-Peter für seine Gastfreundschaft. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
Wir waren Weihnachten 2019in der Hütte mit Kind und Kegel ????und Hund 5 Erwachsene ,2 kinder und Hund
Es war einfach nur genial ,fernab von allem Stress
Der Eigentümer Hans-Peter ist sehr nett und familiär.
Wir konnten sogar unseren Weihnachtsbaum dort schlagen.
Wer ab von allem Stress Weihnachten verbringen möchte ist in dem Haus richtig.
Wir hatten ein super schönes Weihnachten und die Hütte hat dazu beigetragen. Würden immer gerne wieder kommen.Es hat sogar tgl.etwas geschneit.
