The cottage is located about 2.5km from the town Obsteig, in a very secluded and calm area, amidst the hiking area of the "Mieminger" sun plateau, high above the Inn-valley. The nature here is almost unspoiled and the beauty of the larch meadows is under conservation. In autumn the needles are turning golden yellow - then the natives say "the larchs are burning!"

EquippmentThe cottage with local flavour has a living room with lounge and a wood stove with oven on the ground floor. There is a staircase to the attic floor where you can find 4 roosts. Water is inside the well in front of the hut, the owner provides bottles with drinking water (mineral water) for the guests. The earth closet is behind the cabin. No electricity, paraffin lamp. In front of the cottage is a garden with a well, a barbecue and sunbeds. In spring and in late summer cows are grazing beside the hut.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Local tourism tax currently € 2,-/Person/night, lump-sum for wood € 25,-/week. Pet € 20,-/week. Either you clean the cottage by yourself or we charge € 35,- for the final cleaning. Bed linen can be rented for € 9,-/set, deposit € 100,-.
Other:The use of the indoor swimming pool as well as the use of the sauna and the steam bath at the 4-star hotel of the owner are included in the price. The hotel is at Obsteig, just 2.5km away.

Obsteig is just over half an hour away from Innsbruck by car. It is located in the middle of one of the most beautiful landscapes in Tyrol: with lush green in summer, golden colors in autumn and a sun-drenched microclimate. Let your mind wander on the idyllic hiking trails.
Three viewing platforms offer magnificent views, numerous refreshment stops and delicious food during the hiking breaks. You can also climb the surrounding mountains via a via ferrata and several alpine trails. Obsteig offers numerous possibilities for both alpinists and leisurely hikers. It goes comfortably to the beautiful view with a wonderful view of the Mieminger plateau.

Wir haben uns in der einen Urlaubswoche wunderbar erholt. Es war alles so wie beschrieben und die Betreuung bei der An-bzw. Abreise war sehr gut. Erholungsfaktor "super". Wer sich durch die Hochspannungsleitung gestört fühlt sollt allerdings nicht hier Urlaub machen.
Einziger Minuspunkt: die Holzpauschale von 20€ - hierfür hätten wir doch erwartet vernünftiges Brennholz vorzufinden, statt dessen beschichteter bzw. lackierter Pressspan - das geht unseres Erachtens gar nicht
Die Hütte ist wirklich sehr nett; einfach aber alles da, was man braucht. Das Pumpsklos ist rund 30m von der Hütte entfernt.
Man sollte vor Buchung und Anreise wissen, dass eine Hochspannungsleitung neben der Hütte verläuft. Das war bei Ankunft schon eine unagenehme Überaschung.
Die Hütte ist einfach aber ausreichend ausgestattet und liegt in einem schönen Wandergebiet! Die Kühe kommen sogar bis zur Hütte (Auto ist in so einem Gatter drin zum Schutz).
Wir hatten leider bisschen Pech mit dem Wetter, konnten aber zum Vermieter ins Hotel fahren und den Wellnessbereich nutzen - ein großes DANKE an Franz für die nette Betreuung vor Ort!
