The hut is situated on a very quiet area, off the street and traffic on the edge of a big meadow with a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape. Nearby are 5 other, seldom inhabited little huts. An ideal location for families with children!
DistancesThe next town is Preg: 5 km or St Stefan ob Leoben: 7 km. Skiing area Gaaler Lifte 30km, Präbichl or Obdach 45km. Marked hiking trails near the house and a pond located only 8 km away.
EquippmentSnuggery with lounge, sofa, tiled stove and kitchenette equipped with electric cooker, oven and fridge. 1 bedroom with double bed and a bunk bed. Shower/toilet, satellite TV. Heating with tiled stove, hot water from the bath boiler. In front of the hut is a garden with seats and a barbecue.
Additional charges on-site subject to minor changes:Electricity € 0,30/kWh, firewood € 7,-/basket, local tourism tax currently € 2,50/person/night, bed linen can be rented for € 10,-/set.

The Präbichl, the skiing area for "novices" and "advanced persons", disposes of a wide range of offers. Skiers as well as snowboarders and "carvers" can choose between the ski slope with moguls, the deep snow slope or a slope to practise - everybody will get it´s money worth. The more there is also the legendary "Polsterrinne", a slope for really advanced skiers!
The fully automatic snow covering machine guarantees a skiing area where snow is assured. The ski arena Präbichl is located between 1,100m and 1,900m above sea level and offers 20km slopes in all levels of difficulty. There are also:
- 2 chairlifts for 4 persons
- 1 chairlift for 1 person
- 2 ski tows, 1 baby lift
- 1 "magic carpet" (that´s a kind of conveyor belt)

The Präbichl is the ideal starting point for sporting activities such as hiking, climbing, paragliding and mountain biking. But also leisurely hike and allow yourself a leisurely pace, enjoy imposing landscapes, absorb the diverse, breathtaking views and the silence of the mountains with every breath.
Far away from mass tourism, our guests can expect a mountain country like in a picture book with lush green meadows, dark, dreamy forests and a unique flora and fauna that has been preserved intact to this day.
The adventure park on the Präbichl is one of the largest and most modern forest ropes courses in Austria. Unique, the “Panorama Parcours” with Burma bridges and the “Lake Promenade Parcours” high above the Grüblsee.

Wir sind nach zwei Wochen nun auf der Heimfahrt und vermissen das kleine Häuschen jetzt schon. Die Lage ist ein Traum,die täglichen Sonnenuntergänge eine Wohltat für die Seele!Wer die kleinen Dinge im Leben zu schätzen weiss,ist hier gut aufgehoben.Ein kleines Fleckchen Erde wo sich Hase und Fuchs gute Nacht sagen und man die Natur genießen kann.Weit ab vom Alltag,Internet, Fernsehen etc. hat man hier Zeit wieder Energie zu tanken. Frau Frieß ist einer dieser Menschen die man mögen muss,eine herzensliebe Frau. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte mal da!
Wir waren 6 Tage auf der Hütte und haben es sehr genossen! Unsere Vorstellungen wurden übertroffen, was den Hüttenurlaub anbelangt. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist OK. Die Hütte bietet alles, um einen geruhsamen und schönen Almurlaub zu genießen. Wenn das Wetter wieder einmal passt, würden wir diese Hütte wieder buchen!

Die Familie Frieß (Vermieter) ist sehr bemüht, dass der Hütten Aufenthalt ohne Probleme abläuft.
4 Tage beste Erholung an einem wunerschönem , sehr ruhigem Ort. Herrliche Wanderwege und eine sehr romantische Hütte. Nach dem Wandern ist das Gasthaus Spitzer sehr zu empfehlen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und freuen uns auf das nächste mal.
rustikales kleines Häuschen in der Natur, traumhafte Aussicht
Alles okay.
Im Mai liegt die Hütte inmitten blühender Wiesen und die Sicht ist herrlich. Die Wanderwege (2 ausgewiesene) sind schlecht beschildert und dauern viel länger, als angegeben. Die Bergwanderung dauert mindestens doppelt solang und ist furchtbar steil. Mit Kindern zu überdenken.
Der Badeofen zum Bereiten des Warmwassers befindet sich im Keller, den man nur von außen erreicht.
