Find the right cabin for your vacation

The cabin is situated in a completely secluded location in the northern Salzburg region, in the picturesque Heutal valley, directly on the ski slope and cross-country ski trails, in the heart of a hiking and biking paradise. Here, time seems to slow down; far from the hustle and bustle and mass tourism, an unspoiled natural landscape unfolds. In winter, the valley transforms into a snowy wonderland. Gentle slopes, cross-country ski trails, and winter hiking paths offer pure enjoyment instead of crowds. In spring, blooming alpine meadows invite you to enjoy long hikes or bike rides. Autumn boasts crystal-clear mountain air and sweeping views. The Heutal valley is a haven for those seeking relaxation and nature lovers. Families appreciate the manageable size and the warm, down-to-earth atmosphere. The cabin is not available for rent from mid-June to mid-September, as the alpine pasture owners are up on the mountain with their livestock during this time. In spring and autumn, you can drive directly to the cabin with your own car. This is also possible in winter, if there is no snow on the road. Otherwise, the forest road is groomed for skiing and cross-country skiing, and you can leave your car for free in the parking lot a little below the hut. It is 300 meters from the parking lot to the hut (a 5-minute walk). Luggage is transported to the hut by sled; upon request, luggage transport by snowcat is available (transportation costs approximately €50).

The Heutal family ski area, with four drag lifts, 12 km of slopes, and a ski school, is right outside the cabin. A managed alpine hut is open in winter (Christmas to approximately mid-March) 400m away. The Loferer Alm ski area (46 km of slopes) is 15 km away, and the Tiroler Steinplatte (32 km of slopes) is 25 km away. Shopping is available in Unken, 8 km away. The festival city of Salzburg is 40 km away. The cabin is ideally located: ski slopes right outside, extensive cross-country ski trails starting from the cabin, a toboggan run nearby and countless hiking and biking trails to gorges and caves starting from the cabin! A traditional inn is 500 m away. The Bad Reichenhall thermal baths are 25 km away, and mountain bike rentals are 8 km away. The cabin is the perfect base for excursions to Salzburg, neighboring Tyrol or Bavaria!

The alpine cabin has been furnished with great attention to detail, in a rustic and charming style. The reclaimed wood creates a feeling of coziness. Ground floor: Cabin living room with a comfortable tiled stove. This is used for both - heating and cooking. Kitchenette with refrigerator, coffee maker, and kettle. Cozy seating area and dining table, which behind are two sleeping alcoves with double beds (200 x 230 cm) and sliding doors for added privacy. Door to hallway with a third sleeping alcove for two people and, if needed, a bunk bed (extra bed for children) under the low attic. Bathroom with shower and toilet, electric underfloor heating. Cool stone cellar. Lockable storage room for skis, sleds, or bikes. Electric water heater. Smoking is not permitted.

Electricity €0.45/kWh, local tax currently €2 per person per night, mobility tax from May 1, 2025: €0.50 per person over 15 years of age per night, firewood €45 per week. Final cleaning €80. Pets €10 per night. Bed linen €8 per set, towels €4 per set (available for rent). Security deposit €200.
